Current Development Efforts

The Akorn Application Toolkit

v2.0

The major focus of v2.0 is to convert core architecture of the client side environment from use of xAjax and pushing of javascript code to a pure Qooxdoo client side application using only JSON for communication.

v20 was changed to an internal release when it was discovered that Qooxdoo v0.7.x was unable to produce tables reliably. We will push the remaining v2.0 development tasks into v2.1 as part of the migration to Qooxdoo v0.8.0.

STATUS: Internal Release Complete

v2.1

Migration to Qooxdoo v0.8.0 is the primary focus of this effort. In addition, the remaining development tasks from Akorn v2.1 have been rolled into this release. Qooxdoo v0.8.0 has significantly improved visual appeal as well as a leaner and faster GUI toolkit engine. The conversion process to Qooxdoo v0.8.0 is relatively straightforward but there were some key changes to the way things operate which requires changes to most of the Akorn client side templates. In addition, the new build process changed and requires some changes in the client side template structure as well as the overall build process.
